77 days until my escape from DC
Yesterday I went to the park for the first time in over a week. It was peaceful and hot (82 degrees). No dogs were directly in our path. I feel much better than I did on Monday. I attribute some of it to my crystals. Feel free to laugh. 🙂 I think my tourmalinated quartz really came through. I’m having a love affair with most of my crystals. I say most because I believe some have to be cleaned more. But the sun hasn’t been out strongly enough to set them outside. I love holding my crystals. I really feel they emit energy.
I just ordered an online tarot reading. An online reading just consists of a pic of your tarot cards and a write-up. I won’t mention the woman’s name unless she is wonderful because I don’t want to bash a small business. If she starts talking about romantic relationships, then I’ll know she isn’t very good. I could have done it on Skype, and I was thinking about it, but I consider this research. One day I may do Tarot card readings online, and I need to know how it’s done. So this is perfect! It is also a possible investment in a future online business.
Eventually, if I want to do Tarot readings for others on Skype, I’m going to have to see how it’s done (or not done) to get a feel for it. I got my first tarot deck when I was a child living in Maryland. Can I count that as my first start with tarot? Nah, I wouldn’t do that. Maybe in 3 years from now (or less), I will have my own tarot reading business. I know I just recently said I don’t want to start a business, but that was because I had ZERO desire and this just came to me.
I hope this is a good experience because I really do want someone to tell me if I’m on the right path. I think with a tarot card business I am. Nothing else excites me like this does when it comes to starting a business.
I am currently working on learning the tarot thoroughly. It is taking a long time. I’m going to do readings for myself in a few weeks, and I might do readings for family for free. I’m not sure how I feel about doing readings on people I know. But I do need to practice. Otherwise, I may not have enough confidence to really get out there.
This week I…
Music of the week (my top 8 most listened to): Lissie, Camila Cabello, Brandi Carlile, MaMuse, Rachel Platten, Broods, Kate Rusby, Shakira
TV of the week: March Madness, Life Sentence, Seven Seconds
Movie of the week: none
Podcasts of the week: True Crime Garage, Joyce Meyer, TED Talks Daily, The Lively Show
Books of the week: Now reading –
- Under the Banner of Heaven: A Violent Faith by Jon Krakauer
- Easy Tarot Handbook by Josephine Ellershaw
- This Messy Magnificent Life by Geneen Roth
- Personality Types: Using the Enneagram for Self-Discovery by Don Richard Riso
- LLewellyn’s Complete Book of Tarot: A Comprehensive Guide by Anthony Louis
- When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times by Pema Chodron
Regarding the Enneagram, I am a type 4 (the individualist, AKA the artist). I also scored high on type 5 and 6. I’m not surprised about being a type 4. I am an INFP after all. It is almost the same description. I used to be a what is known as an unhealthy type 4 in my early 20s, but I don’t see myself that way. I’m spiritually working on myself and now I’m not that way anymore. I don’t like the way people talk about type 4s. But whatever. Some people probably still see me as unhealthy because I don’t have friends. So there’s that.
Planner update: Plans of the week in my Get to Work Book
Plans for the Weekend: On Saturday, I’m working overtime, maybe taking my test OR taking my dog to the park. I can’t do both. Long, boring story. On Sunday, I’m going grocery shopping. I want to finish making basic notes on all the Tarot cards so I can kind of do a basic reading for myself. That should be fun and maybe a little scary. 😉 I have about 15 cards left to review before I can attempt a reading.
Soon I will be mowing my lawn regularly. I will try to do it during the week on my lunch break, but my yard is big so that rarely works out. I’m going to try to not mow until the week after next. I’m not sure I can go that long.
Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful weekend!! 🙂
