Vet: You here to see your baby?
I don’t know what’s going on with my dog. I think she had a stroke or has a brain tumor. 😦 She is acting like she had a stroke. She is staying at the vet for a few days…until she can eat on her own. What if she can eat on her own at the vet and then when she gets home, she refuses to eat? That is now my big fear. Today I went to visit her on my lunch break since the vet is 5 minutes from my house.
The vet said that she ate a little bit on her own this morning. Prior to that they were feeding her with a syringe. She isn’t in pain or anything. So I don’t know when she’s coming home. Things are up in the air. BTW, my mom is paying for this vet visit. THANK BUDDHA! I cannot afford anymore vet bills. This stay isn’t cheap.
Oh well. I just hopes she gets better. 😦 I’ve had her since she was 7 months old. She is now 16 years and about 7 months old. I picked her out of about 20 dogs at the animal shelter. She was the only one not aggressively barking at me. Instead she was looking at me curiously. The moment I saw her, I knew I had to have her. I love and care about her more than anything. I’m her mom. It sucks knowing that she won’t be here much longer. 😦 😦 😦
I’m taking a knitting class on Saturday at Michael’s. This is my first non-online knitting class. I’m in Knitting TWO. lol. I know enough to be in TWO!! 🙂 We are making a multi-colored hat. I have never changed colors in my knitting before. That will be nice to learn. Speaking of hats, I am working on my child sized hat I started a couple of weeks ago. Pics coming this weekend. I got my double pointed needles in the mail. I did the most backwards thing and took the beginning of the hat off the circulars and put them on double pointed needles. And it’s working! There’s something fun about double points. heh.
I still feel like I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to circular knitting. Unfortunately the knitting class I’m taking, involves just “straight” knitting so I won’t learn that there. But I still think this is a great opportunity to learn and hopefully finish the hat. The class is only 2.5 hours and I knit kinda slow…I hope I finish.
I’m also knitting a cowl. I have about 6 inches done. 78 inches to go. I kid you not. Link to the pattern and pics in the next post.
Man, studying for the boards is not going well. I wonder why? I have no idea. I’m off for a week starting June 23. I don’t have major plans (my “real vacation” is the Vegas trip in October). I do want to go to a park I’ve never been to , take water aerobics (for the second time), maybe go out to eat…etc. What I really, really need to do is clean my living room. I have got to get that organized. Sometimes I feel like I can’t wait until June 23 to do it but it isn’t happening otherwise.
I’m still getting up at 5AM-ish to work. When I have to work that is all I pretty much get done. I dunno. Some days after work, I might exercise for half an hour, knit for an hour, nap for an hour, and study for an hour (not in that order). Then I will wind down by playing monopoly, watching TV and/or reading. Actually that is not a horrible schedule…if I would stick to that. You know what? I think I’m going to try that tomorrow. Ideally I would like to study for more than an hour but I know that isn’t happening with working all day.
Who says this blog is useless? It helped me come up with a schedule when all I wanted to do was post a dog and knitting update. 😉 YAY. Almost bedtime. I’m off to play a quick game of monopoly.
